Get to Know Your Stone Mountain Dental Team

Dr. Blankenship and Dr. Jordan have assembled a dedicated, caring team to deliver the level of dental care they want to provide their patients. Feel free to reach out to them if you need anything or have any questions.

Anna Patient Coordinator

Anna began working in dentistry in 2002, the same year she came on board with us. She loves being able to help our patients and make them feel at home. She feels that our office is special because we treat our patients like family. Anna is married, with one daughter, one dog, and two horses. When she isn’t working, she enjoys riding horses, swimming, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Connie Front Desk

Connie began her dental career in 1993 and has worked for us since 2016. She loves people and enjoys making everyone smile and laugh when they come into our office. It is a pleasure for Connie to give others a great smile and help them leave our office satisfied.

Connie is married and has two beautiful daughters. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, going to her grandchildren’s baseball games, and cheering for her favorite college football team, the University of Alabama. Connie has lived her entire life in the South and admits to having a little bit of a Southern accent.

Shonda Front Desk/Patient Coordinator

Shonda’s dental career began in 2006, and she came on staff with us in 2014. She and her husband, Jesse, have eight children, and much of her free time is spent doing family activities. Shonda, who is CPR certified, likes interacting with her co-workers and enjoys helping our patients find and afford the best dental care that Atlanta has to offer. She gets great joy watching a patient who has been self-conscious about their teeth walk out of our practice with a huge smile. She also enjoys getting to know our patients and their families. To her, they are like part of our family.

Angela Dental Assistant

Angela graduated as a dental assistant in 1992 from Faulkner University and began working for our office in 2002. She also attends Georgia State University, pursuing a degree in public policy with a concentration in nonprofit leadership management. Angela enjoys working at our office because she gets to interact with patients. She likes making other people laugh and enjoys helping patients get excited about their next appointment.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys traveling, going to the movies, and trying new restaurants. She is also passionate about helping others – so much so that at Christmas she and her co-workers buy presents for the less fortunate instead of for each other.

Brenda Dental Hygienist

Brenda joined our team 2007, but her dental career began back in 1974. She graduated from St. Philip’s College in San Antonio, TX, and is certified in CPR. Brenda is retired from the military and has earned many military accreditations. She loves being active and physical and is always up for a challenge.

Brenda loves her job here and likes being able to educate our patients on how to keep their mouths healthy. She enjoys her co-workers and believes that everyone on our team works well together.

Sheryl Dental Hygienist

Sheryl began working as a dental hygienist in 1997, even working in Switzerland for a while. She graduated from Clayton State University and has been a valuable part of our office since 2015. Sheryl has completed continuing courses in pharmacology, oral pathology, and CPR. Since she is a people person, Sheryl enjoys the personal interaction with our patients. Her goal is to make them feel as comfortable as possible while addressing their concerns about their dental health. She also enjoys the camaraderie of all her co-workers. She says that although we work hard for our patients, we have a good time doing it. When away from work, Sheryl enjoys traveling, reading, and being with friends and family, including her son, daughter, and four “perfect” grandkids.

Susan Dental Hygienist

Susan began working for Dr. Blankenship in 2014, but she began her dental career back in 1986 after graduating from Pensacola State College. Her husband was a minister whose job took her family to many different parts of the country. Susan has training in CPR and forensic dentistry. She enjoys taking time to give each patient personalized treatment, answering their questions and addressing their needs, cares, and concerns. She says she likes working in our office because we never rush patients. Helping people feel better about themselves and their oral health is important to her. In her free time, Susan enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, doing Zumba®, doing yard work, and being involved with her church.

Teresa Dental Hygienist

Teresa has been a registered dental hygienist since 2003. She started working with us in 2012 on a part-time basis, then became a full-time member of our team later on. Family is very important to Teresa and her husband. She has four daughters and five grandchildren whom most of her activities center on.

Teresa says she enjoys working with us because each staff member is very professional and works hard to make everyone feel welcome, whether you’re a patient or a team member. She wants each of our patients to leave our office feeling that they were an important part of her day and that they received her undivided attention.

In her free time, Teresa enjoys traveling and getting out in the yard to garden.

Traci Dental Hygienist

Traci’s dental career began back in 1981 when she graduated from Clayton State University. She has been a dental hygienist since then, joining Dr. Blankenship’s team in 1988. She has completed many continuing education courses, including forensic dentistry, periodontal care, CPR, and TMD.

Traci loves getting to know our patients, building trust with them, and easing their fears about dentistry. She likes treating patients in a way that helps them enjoy coming to the dentist. She has one daughter, two dogs, and several “granddogs.” In her spare time, she likes spending time with her family and friends at the lake and watching University of Georgia football (go Dawgs!).
